In short

The plugin has no telemetry, analytics or advertising, and it does not send your audio, your projects or your presets anywhere.
Until you activate a license, the plugin does not connect to the internet.
With a license, the plugin connects only to api.lemonsqueezy.com to activate, verify and deactivate your license. What travels there is your license key, an activation name of the form Windows-1a2b3c4d (a short computer code, not your computer's name) and what any web request carries: your IP address and the User-Agent eqlypse/<version>.
Your purchase data (payment, billing, taxes) is handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record.
To support you and manage your license we use your email and the order data that Lemon Squeezy gives us; we do not use them for marketing.

1. Who is responsible

dhreian ("dhreian", "we"), the name under which Luis Andrés Melita Cruces, of Cañete, Chile, offers eqlypse, is responsible for the processing described here. Contact: contact@dhreian.com.

Lemon Squeezy also processes personal data in connection with your purchase and with the license requests that reach its servers, under its privacy policy.

2. What data is processed, why and where

2.1. On your computer

The plugin's license window shows your name, your email, the product, the masked key (only the last 4 characters are visible) and the activation and last-verification dates.

2.2. What the plugin sends to Lemon Squeezy

The plugin connects only to https://api.lemonsqueezy.com (HTTPS), and only in these cases:

In addition, as with any web request, Lemon Squeezy (and the providers it uses to run its service) receives your IP address, the User-Agent header eqlypse/<version> and the date and time of the request.

Not sent: your computer's name, the full hardware identifier, your Windows user name, information about your DAW, your audio, your projects, your presets or your settings.

Lemon Squeezy replies with the license status and the order data (buyer's name and email, product and variant), which the plugin stores on your computer and shows in its license window.

These connections go directly from your computer to Lemon Squeezy: dhreian does not run an intermediate license server, so the requests do not pass through us. We do see, in Lemon Squeezy's dashboard, the status of your key and its activations (for example, the name of each activation and its date).

Why: to check that your key is valid and not used on more computers than allowed, to detect disabled keys (for example, after a chargeback) and to let you move your license from one computer to another. Until you activate a license, nothing is sent.

2.3. Purchase and payment data

When you buy, Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your payment and billing data (for example, name, email, country or address, payment method details, tax information and IP address), calculates and remits the taxes and issues the receipt. dhreian does not receive your card or payment method details.

Lemon Squeezy gives us the information needed to handle your order, such as your name, your email address, your country, the order details, your license key and its activations. We use it to deliver your license, support you, correct duplicate or mistaken charges, handle chargebacks and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

We do not send marketing or newsletter emails: we only write to you to handle your order, your license or your support request.

2.4. Email support

If you write to contact@dhreian.com we process your email address, the content of your message and any files you attach, in order to reply and resolve your inquiry. Email arrives through Cloudflare (email forwarding) and is read in Google (Gmail); the providers are listed in section 4.

2.5. Website

The plugin's Buy buttons open dhreian.com/eqlypse in your browser; in that case the website's rules apply, not the plugin's. dhreian.com uses no cookies and no persistent identifiers. It keeps its own visit statistics, which store only the event type, the page and where the visit came from reduced to a category (for example "instagram" or "google"), with no data that identifies you. To stop abuse of its forms, the IP address is stored only as an encrypted digest (hash) and for a limited time. If you request a download or ask a question on the site, we keep your name and email to send you the link or the answer.

3. Legal bases

Performance of the contract: delivering your license, activating and verifying it, supporting you and correcting duplicate or mistaken charges.
Legitimate interest: preventing shared keys, or keys from reversed purchases, from remaining in use, protecting the licensing system and answering your inquiries.
Legal obligation: keeping the records required by tax and accounting rules (mainly Lemon Squeezy's responsibility as Merchant of Record).

Lemon Squeezy (payments, taxes, billing and licenses) and the providers it uses. Its terms are in its privacy policy.
dhreian's website and email providers: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (website database), Resend and Amazon SES (the site's automatic emails), Cloudflare (DNS, email forwarding and installer downloads) and Google (the contact@dhreian.com mailbox).
Authorities, when a law or a valid order requires it.

We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers

dhreian operates from Chile. Lemon Squeezy and the website and email providers (section 4) process data in the United States and in other countries where they operate. When you buy and when you use eqlypse with a license, your data may be processed outside your country of residence; Lemon Squeezy describes the applicable safeguards in its policy.

6. How long we keep it

On your computer: until you uninstall the plugin. The uninstaller releases the activation with Lemon Squeezy and deletes the license state. If there is no connection at that moment, it keeps them so that reinstalling does not use another activation; in that case you can delete them by hand from the locations in section 2.1, after deactivating the license (Deactivate) while online. Preferences and presets are not deleted.
At Lemon Squeezy: according to its policy and its legal obligations.
Order data at dhreian: 6 years, the period set by Chilean tax rules; after that it is deleted or anonymized.
Support emails: up to 3 years after your last message; after that they are deleted.

7. Security

The plugin's communications use HTTPS and validate the server's certificate; the plugin does not follow redirects. The license state is stored encrypted and authenticated. We collect only the data that is strictly necessary. No system is infallible, but if we detect an incident affecting your data, we will notify you where the law requires it.

8. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you (for example, Chilean data protection law, the GDPR in the European Union or the UK GDPR), you may ask us for access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability of your data, and withdraw your consent where the processing is based on it. Write to contact@dhreian.com; we will reply within the period set by law (normally one month).

For data that Lemon Squeezy processes on its own account (payment and billing), exercise your rights with Lemon Squeezy under its policy. If you believe we have not respected your rights, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country.

9. Children

eqlypse is not aimed at minors and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We will publish the current version at https://dhreian.com/en/eqlypse/privacy with its date and, if the change is significant, announce it on the product page.
